Q1 What are e-statements?

e-statements are an electronic delivery of your monthly or quarterly statements, which will take the place of your mailed paper statement.

How much does SGECU's e-statement service cost?

There is no charge for SGECU's e-statement service.

How do I sign up for e-statements?

You can now register for e-statements online via your Internet Banking Site. View the demo to see how you can register online.

How do I receive my e-statement?

To receive your e-statement, you log onto SGECU Internet Banking, then click on the "Others" tab at the top of the page, click on the e-statement tab.

Why did I have to give my email address to sign up?

The email address is needed to send an email notification that your statement is available on SGECU Internet Banking.

Will my e-statement be on SGECU Internet Banking if for some reason I don't receive my email notification?

Yes, your e-statement and email notification is independent of one another. If you do not receive your email notification, your e-statement will still be on SGECU Internet Banking.
It is your responsibility to keep us up-to-date with your email address.

What do I need to view my e-statement on-line?

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view your e-statement.

What if I don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader?

Adobe Acrobat Reader is free software that you can download. Click here to download.

How do I print my e-statement?

By using the Adobe Acrobat Reader toolbar, press the printer icon. You can either print the entire statement or just a particular page.

How do I save my e-statement?

Again using the Adobe Acrobat Reader toolbar, press on the diskette icon. You will then be asked where on your computer you would like to save it.

Is my e-statement secure and safe?

Yes, your statement is stored behind firewalls and is transmitted to your Internet browser using 128-bit encryption.

When will my e-statement be available?

Your e-statement should be available during the first two weeks of the statement cycle.

Can I get my e-statement emailed to me instead?

No, your e-statement cannot be emailed to you. Email is not a secure way to send your statement.

From the date that you sign up, your e-statement will be available every month or quarter. If you need a copy of a statement mailed to you for a specific period, please contact our Service Centre for further assistance at 1300 364 400, or by email at sge@sgecu.com.au

What if I want to cancel my e-statement?

You can switch back to the paper version of your statement at any time. You can cancel for
e-statements by clicking here and following the instructions. Once the form has been filled out in full return this to your closest service centre where our friendly staff are willing to help. As of 19th April 2010, follow the instruction listted in this demo.

Can I have my e-statement email notification sent to more than one email address?

No, we can only send your e-statement notification to one email address.

How do I notify the credit union of my new email address?

To change your email address for e-statements simply log onto Internet Banking, click on the virtual branch tab at the top of the page, click on the e-statement link on the left of the page and then click on the Update Registered email address button. Enter your new email address and click Proceed.

Can my e-statement information be exported to other programs?

No, SGECU e-statements cannot be saved as a text file and imported into Microsoft Word or any other text program. SGECU e-statements can only be saved as PDF files.
