The fear that someone else may be using your credit cards and then having to make multiple phone calls to cancel and replace your lost or stolen cards can be stressful as well as time consuming! To relieve you of the stress and anxiety, we now offer all SGE members the opportunity to join Secure Sentinel, Australia’s largest loss assistance and retrieval service provider for lost or stolen personal possessions.

 

As a Secure Sentinel member, one phone call 24/7 from anywhere in the world is all it takes to get help. The benefits include:*

 

Financial Card Cancellation And Replacement
Once you register your SGE Credit Union card and other credit, debit and ATM cards with Secure Sentinel, you gain access to a “one call” card cancellation and replacement service.

 
 
Emergency Cash Advance
If needed and you qualify, Secure Sentinel will provide a cash advance of up to AUD$1000 to wherever you are in the world using Western Union’s 300,000 outlets.
 
 
Passport Cancellation and Replacement Assistance
If your registered Australian passport is lost or stolen, Secure Sentinel will arrange cancellation and assist you with replacement. Secure Sentinel will also provide a reminder 8 months prior to let you know that your passport is due for renewal.
 
 

Mobile Phone Blocking
Secure Sentinel will immediately block lost or stolen mobile phones so no calls can be made with it. You can also affix Secure Sentinel’s fraud deterrent labels to your mobile which will assist with retrieval.

 
 

Key Retrieval Service
Secure Sentinel provides coded key tags so if you lose your keys, whoever finds them can contact or post them (reply paid) back to Secure Sentinel to be returned to you. For security reasons, your home address is not displayed.

 
 
Lost Luggage Assistance
Members receive tags to place on luggage so that if it is lost or stolen, anyone who finds it can contact Secure Sentinel. Secure Sentinel will then provide you details of the location of your luggage so you can arrange for it to be returned.
 
 

Fraud Deterrent Labels
Labels are provided for members to affix to personal possessions such as cameras, IPods, and laptops to help deter fraudulent use and for easy retrieval if found.

 

 

Registration of Important Documents and Valuables
Members can register the details of important documents such as driver's licence, senior’s card, and other valuables like cameras etc with Secure Sentinel. The information is kept in a safe and secure database until it is needed for a police or insurance report.

 
 

Change of Address Service
Secure Sentinel will notify participating service providers of members’ change of address. Keep track of who you need to advise and let Secure Sentinel save you time in the busy process of moving residence! It’s just another benefit which many of our members will appreciate.
