What is Mobile Banking?
Mobile Banking is a version of Internet Banking available on your mobile phone. It gives you 24/7 access to your accounts wherever you are in the world.
What is the difference between Mobile banking and Internet banking?
Members will be able to do a range of things within the new mobile banking service such as:
- view accounts
- BPAY
- external transfers
- internal transfers
- create a periodical payment
- view or update personal and contact details
- load "contact me" events
- view current and previous YTD interest details
You must login to Mobile Banking via Internet Banking. Not all functions are available within the Mobile Banking facility. The functions not available within mobile banking include viewing payroll, activate cards, requesting a cheque book, change access code for mobile banking, register for e-statements, modify or delete a periodical payment and modity or delete a personal payee.
Is mobile banking free?
Yes. Accessing Mobile Banking is free. However, standard mobile phone contract and mobile service charges will apply.
What if my phone is lost or stolen?
If you believe your mobile phone is lost or stolen and may have stored personal data, please contact us immediately. You can also disable your Mobile Banking access by logging into Internet Banking on a PC.
Is my phone compatible with mobile banking?
SGE's Mobile Banking facility will be available and configured for the following products.
- iPhone
- iPad
- Android
- Blackberry
- Windows Phone 7
Other handsets might be able to use the Mobile Banking Facility, but it might not display correctly on the page.
Can I access Mobile Banking when overseas?
Yes. Mobile roaming charges may apply. Contact your mobile service provider before accessing Mobile Banking from outside Australia.
How to access my mobile banking?
Members must contact SGE Credit Union to register for mobile banking. Alternatively, download the "Register Form" and return it to SGE. A Member Relationship Officer will contact you.
1. On your mobile phone, open your Internet Browser.

3. Once the page has loaded, a menu screen will appear similar to the below.
4. Click "Mobile Banking" to access the login screen.

5. Enter your username and password to log into mobile banking.
How to add a Bookmark to iPhone?
You can add a bookmark to your phones internet browser if you are accessing the site frequently. This ensures you access the same site each time and is quick and easy.
Each model phone or mobile device will have a different Internet Browser and instructions on how to add a bookmark.
One of the most common types of mobile devices is an iPhone or iPad. If you are using other compatible mobile devices, you will need to refer to the manual for the particular device.
Below are instructions on how to add a bookmark on an iPhone or iPad.
1. Access the mobile banking site in your phone's internet browser (Safari)
2. Click on the highlighted symbol above, and the following will be displayed.
3. The Add to home screen will appear.

4. Enter the name of your bookmark that you wish to have appear on your homescreen.
5. Press "Add" and this will save the bookmark to your home screen as shown below.

Is Mobile Banking secure?
Yes. Mobile Banking uses 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol encryption which is the same security and authentication as Internet Banking.
Can I access my account using Mobile Banking if my account requires 2 to sign?
No. Mobile Banking does not support the functionality to enable two to sign access. These accounts can only be accessed via Internet Banking.
What does the processing screen mean?
The processing screen will display after you make a selection in Mobile Banking. While this screen is displayed, your request is loading in the background.
